Out of hours dental services

If you are in pain and require urgent dental attention (i.e. that cannot wait until your usual dental practice is next open), there is a service in place to ensure that you have access to appropriate attention and care out of hours.

Out of hours is the time when dental practices are closed - normally between 6.30pm and 8am during the week, all weekend and during Bank Holidays.

Some practices offer extended access to NHS patients with surgeries held later than 6.30pm or on a Saturday. Use the Find Your Dentist pages for details of practices' opening hours.

Patients that are in pain and require urgent dental attention can call the out-of-hours dentistry service on 0300 555 0307.  Alternatively patients can call their usual dental practice and their call should be automatically transferred to this number.
