South East Essex NHS : Young People

This section of the website has been created to offer young people information and guidance across a wide range of topics.

We have taken advice from Youth Councils in the Castle Point, Rochford and Southend areas in order to address the subjects that are most important to young people.

Sexual health services
We offer confidential help for all issues relating to sexual health, including information on contraception and sexually transmitted infections. A key problem for under 24s is the rapid spread of Chlamydia but this can be easily treated by taking a free, simple test. Tackling drugs and alcohol
Excessive drinking and the use of drugs causes ill health, accidents and a whole range of social problems. If you're concerned about yourself or others, we can provide support and information.

Mental health issues
Issues may include unhappiness, loneliness, fears, anxieties, eating difficulties, traumatic experiences and relationship problems.
